BrainMonkey SIDE Release for Testing!

Scott Savage of the 256 Corporation has released a testing version of his object oriented basic compiler this afternoon and asked me to help him find beta testers. So here we go...

Where to get the BrainMonkey SIDE? From BrainMonkey of course! After you become a user (the first word is social after all) navigate to the downloads page and download the Visual Studio Project Files.

What exactly is the BrainMonkey SIDE? Well, we all know what IDE's are correct? (Integrated Development Environment) and we all know what Social Networks are... Simply put, Scott chucked all of the ingredients in his digital cooker and brewed up an entire new way of programming and networking for Pic developers.

Here is some of what it does:
- The BrainMonkey website opens with the BrainMonkey SIDE (internet connection required) and the features of the website are available to the SIDE.
- Upload Code
- Download Code
- Share Code
- Collaborate on Code Projects
- View and Share Robotics, Electronics, Animatronics etc... Projects
- Of course you can still write code... lol can't forget that.
- The SIDE is a 'Keystroke Compiler' meaning it compiles the code as you type. Check it out in the output window.

This testing release WILL NOT program a PIC at this time. Future (soon) releases will contain enhanced functionality.

What Scott wants from us - He would like us to download the Code Editor portion of the SIDE and work on it. Frankly, he said make it better. There are comments in the code for the parts that need work but that does not limit you VB developers from having a bit of fun. He did specifically mention that he was not happy with the toolbars... So boogity boogity boogity boys, lets go coding!

There is so much more to say....

(P.S. - Note that Scott is now a partner in the 256 Corporation and is moving away from Savage Innovations)
